About the journal
The publication of art, knowledge and science: NEFANDO. PLATFORM FOR CREATION + RESEARCH aims to: disseminate new knowledge, bibliographical rescues, comments on data corpus, results of ongoing research; also, to socialize creations and articles by artists, knowledgeable researchers (invited or in collaboration); in addition, to provide information about the Nefando Project, among other activities of knowledge communication or dissemination of art and knowledge.
Currently, we are in the design and conception of the first issue of the periodical publication, with a view to its dissemination at the end of September/October 2024. This dissemination body will have: editorial section, presentation, articles section (notes, reflections, research results, translations, bibliographic comments, etc.), art section (general literature and interdisciplinary and/or multimodal creations), and a reviews section.

Peer review process
of scientific articles
The contributions received are sent to internal or external peers to the Creation + Research Platform for evaluation according to the double-blind review system. The articles are selected according to criteria of quality, relevance, originality, presentation and rigor.
The evaluators may accept, accept with modifications or reject the proposed articles.
In any case, the editorial coordination will notify the authors of the decision of the Editorial Committee by email within a period of no more than three months. The receipt of the texts does not imply their publication.
Frequency of publication
The frequency of publication is quarterly, three (3) issues per year. We strive to ensure that each issue contains no more than 20 articles. In order to improve its editorial processes, the journal welcomes the publication of articles by national and international researchers in each edition.
Open Access Policy
This journal promotes open access to knowledge, based on the principle that making research available to citizens contributes to a greater exchange of knowledge for the transformation of societies at a global level.
Creative Commons
Those creators who have publications with this publication must adhere to the terms of the following editorial policy:
1. The journal is the owner of the copyright of the articles, which will be simultaneously subject to the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License, which allows third parties to share the work as long as its author and its first publication in this journal are indicated.
2. Creators may adopt other non-exclusive licensing agreements for the distribution of the published version of the work (e.g., deposit it in an institutional online archive or publish it in a monographic volume) provided that initial publication in this journal is indicated.
3. Creators are permitted and encouraged to disseminate their work through the Internet (e.g., in institutional online archives or on their website) before and during the submission process, which may produce interesting exchanges and increase citations to the published work.

We adhere to the guidelines proposed by the Committee on Publications Ethics -COPE- (publicationethics.org).

Focus and scope
NEFANDO Plataforma de Creación + Investigación is a quarterly publication of a cultural and scientific nature, managed and edited by the Research Group of the Research and Innovation Unit of the NEFANDO Project. Its main objective is the dissemination of knowledge, through research and dissemination articles on ancestral and original arts, knowledge and practices of Abya Yala and the African diaspora, as well as scientific contributions on social sciences, humanities and digital humanities, written by national and international specialists, researchers and academics.
The magazine is aimed at a scientific, artistic and cultural university audience, interested in recent research in literature, linguistics, cultural studies, history, anthropology, sociology, psychology, archaeology and digital humanities from any region of the planet or period in the history of civilizations.
Bases de la Convocatoria
NEFANDO Plataforma de Creación + Investigación invita a artistas, sabedorxs e investigadorxs a participar en la convocatoria abierta para la publicación de textos convencionales y multimodales, derivados de formas innovadoras de expresión y comunicación de la creación + investigación. Esta iniciativa se enmarca en el proyecto BIBLIOTECA DIGITAL NEFANDO y busca fomentar el diálogo entre arte, ciencia y tecnología, con un enfoque específico en sexualidades y género, mediante el uso de las humanidades digitales.

Número 02
Futuros posibles y presentes reales de las artes, los saberes y las ciencias: una reflexión acerca del futuro de pueblos y comunidades de Abya Yala; o reflexiones críticas acerca de las realidades actuales de expresiones culturales (literatura, fotografía, pintura, música, gastronomía, espiritualidades y expresiones religiosas) de cualquier parte del mundo, en especial del mundo Iberoamericano y/o problemáticas de las poblaciones LGBTIQ+.

Mujeres artistas, científicas, filósofas, místicas, chamanas, poetas y lideresas sociales de ayer y de hoy... y de cualquier parte del mundo: una exploración por periodos históricos de aquellas mujeres con trabajos y creación por resaltar del pasado; o mujeres actuales que influyen en los sistemas de pensamiento, artes, saberes y ciencias.
Fecha máxima de entrega de propuestas de artículos:
15 de junio de 2025. Publicación: 15 de julio de 2025.
Objetivo
Promover la creación y difusión de conocimientos a través de textos multimodales que integren métodos y enfoques innovadores en la expresión de las relaciones entre arte, ciencia y tecnología, abordando de manera crítica y creativa los estudios de sexualidades y género, los estudios culturales y sociales y las comunicaciones redistributivas.
Dirigido a
Artistas, sabedorxes, investigadorxs y profesionales de diversas disciplinas interesados en la intersección de las humanidades digitales, arte, ciencia y tecnología.
Requisitos de participación
1. Formato: los textos pueden presentarse en escritura convencional o multimodal, pudiendo incluir elementos como: imágenes, videos, sonidos, gráficos interactivos, y otros recursos digitales.
2. Originalidad: los trabajos presentados deben ser originales e inéditos.
3. Interdisciplinariedad: se valorará positivamente la colaboración entre creadorxs de diferentes disciplinas.
Documentación
1. Resumen del proyecto: máximo 500 palabras, describiendo la propuesta, objetivos, metodología y contribución al campo de estudio y creación.
2. Propuesta multimodal: ejemplo o maqueta del texto multimodal (puede incluir enlaces a prototipos digitales, muestras de videos, imágenes, etc.).
3. CV y portafolio: de cada participante autorx, destacando publicaciones y proyectos relevantes.
4. Carta de motivación: explicando el interés y relevancia del proyecto u obra en relación a la convocatoria.
Proceso de selección
Un comité interdisciplinario de expertxs evaluará las propuestas considerando su originalidad, relevancia temática, calidad técnica y potencial impacto en el campo de las humanidades digitales y estudios de género.
